Optimism

Rarely do I have the motivation to blog immediately after an event, but a TV show tonight did it.

Featuring a girl with ovarian cancer with her uterus removed, she lives life to the fullest and is very hopeful. She's even the theme girl on the recent Disney advertisement =D

This line of hers really caught my attention:

"Everyone is made equal. If you are lacking in one aspect of life, just make up for it in other areas."

People like this really deserves a second chance at life.

Company Trade Fair

Annually, there's a Company Programme Trade Fair held for secondary students. Stalls being manned mainly by business students, the many creative products targeting young consumers always make perfect Christmas presents. The best part is the way the student "hard sell" their products. It's outright aggressive, and sometimes funny too.

This year Kai-G was helping his stall out, so i decided to go there and check it out. I bought a T-shirt from his store, which i thought was quite cute. And has a positive message =D

I went around and found all these cute things like little stuffed dumpling toys and cushion hand warmers. Then at around 4:30pm when everyone reduced their prices to cost-price, I decided to go for this burger.

It was so irresistible. The cushion buns, blanket lettuce, face towel cheese, backrest meat, and mat egg and tomato. The stall was even decorated like a fast food stall, so you can choose from different menus and see what burger combinations you like. The idea itself was worth the money =D

Then I found this stuffed toy giraffe which I have been looking for ages. I swear, stuffed toy giraffes everywhere have short necks. This one does too, but with an interesting variation.

Hand-made, with creativity.

There you go arum. Cute aren't they?

After exams

It's been a great year in Adelaide, much better than originally thought it would be. Pulled through year 1 with the optimism I've learnt from these a-town people.

As celebration, on the night of our last exam, Dan's end-of-year party was awesome. Nice to see everyone after they hermitised for swot vac and exams.

The first time I've tried skulling Pappa Ash. Nah it just didn't work, he was too black. He skulled all three cups in like 2 seconds.

Thanks to Shaad we were able to have massive paintball party. The only photo I have on facebook is one that looks rather gay... or at least I look rather gay. But no one can help it when they see honey babe pham.

November and December has always been my most dreaded two months of the year, thanks to the overload of birthdays in this period. I got this theory that's its because nine months earlier is Valentine's Day. My credit card bill

Back to the point, Happy Birthday to all those Valentine babies out there. I was unfortunate in missing out Jolvin's and Qian's birthday in Adelaide, since i promised Arum a few months back to attend her birthday. But look at those gorgeous looking birthday boy and girl!

Arum x Myra's birthday dinner was pretty awesome, with so many GGS people there. Again haven't got a lot of photos to show, but here's one of one of the birthday girls.

Another great happening is that Adam and Tish finally got their new house! Great place and nice location. I can feel 2008 is gonna be an even greater year =D
