That's how much I hate flies. And the number of flies around this place can be expressed in terms of moles. It's like experiencing timbertop again.
To make the fly trap, you need a lamp/light bulb, a cone and a container of some sort.
What I used is a lamp from Bunnings (less than $10, halogen lamps lasts for 2+ years, good buy)
A foam cup from the pantry, and a roll piece of paper and cut the tip of the cone off.
Total material cost: $0. I fixed a lamp that a fellow perry student threw out.Combine it all together, and you get this:
The theory behind the fly trap is simple. Fred the fly see the warmth of light... he gets closer to it. Ouch he burns his legs, and loses his co-ordination for a split second, and down he falls thru the funnel. Dam the funnel hole is too small for him to fly back thru. See you next life.To make it aesthetically pleasing, place a tube of colour paper around the fly trap to make it look like a night light.
